The Tommy Shreve Band
| Released in late '97, Bon Ton Boogie represents Tommy Shreve's second effort as artist, writer, producer,and label. Nine originals and three covers blend blues and rock in an edgier, more straight ahead approach than his Blue River project. There are no keyboards or sax on this CD but rather a more muscular guitar-based sound that showcases some serious chop in lieu of production values. Recorded at Coupe Studios in Boulder and Fanfare Studios in Golden, CO, the project features Shreve's drummer and bassist from his Colorado trio with a cameo by slidemeister Sonny Landreth on one track.
